Vin McCaffrey, CEO of Game Theory Group, was quoted in a BBC article today titled “Are sporty employees better workers?” The article talks about the value organizations can find in hiring athletes.
It’s a valid question, too. As employers seek to find high-level entry-level employees and decrease overall employee turnover, more and more organizations are realizing the value of hiring former athletes due to the number and type of skills they possess.

Nowadays, “organisations want to drill down to get a better perspective of the overall candidate,” said Vin McCaffrey, chief executive of Game Theory Group International, a US-based employment firm for former student athletes.
