Announcing Game Plan’s New On-Campus Programs

By August 8, 2016 No Comments

Game Plan is excited to announce that we will be offering a new series of on-campus student-athlete development programs starting this Fall. These programs will focus on the journey of student-athletes as they prepare for their career and transition away from competitive athletics. The programs will also offer a blended learning experience for the student-athletes incorporating in person, on-campus expertise with Game Plan’s online and on-demand resources.

Each program combines Game Plan’s proprietary assessments and 40+ eLearning modules with a hands-on approach to maximize student-athlete engagement. The programs also integrate the key learnings and the collective experience of Game Plan’s industry experts and student-athlete development professionals.

Here’s a preview of some of the programs we’ll be offering:

The First 90 Days: From Locker room to Boardroom

The student-athlete experience is an asset.  It creates leadership skills, enhances diverse thought and promotes outstanding transferable skills. This program is designed to guide student-athletes through one of the most important, and challenging transitions they will ever experience—from college through the start of their first 90 days in their career. The curriculum includes selecting a career path based on personality strengths and individual interests, navigating the job search process, making the transition away from sport and understanding their student-athlete experiences in a relatable way to the next phase of their journey.

Women + Leadership Workshops

These events are designed for athletic department staff, as well as student-athletes. It will explore the elements, techniques, and practices of programs and athletic departments needed to create a culture of strong, female leaders within teams and as individuals.

Game Plan Sponsor Career Fair

In this program, Game Plan will work directly with the athletic department’s corporate sponsors, local employers and interested alumni to participate in an interactive career networking experience.  Student-athletes and employers will engage in person and online via Game Plan’s Career Marketplace, initiating lasting relationships.
