Eastern Michigan University is the latest Division I athletic program to partner with Game Plan to support its 500+ student-athletes.
A member of the Mid-American Conference, the Eagles feature 21 Division I athletic programs. During the 2016-17 academic year, EMU stretched its streak to 15 consecutive semesters with a collective athletic department GPA above 3.0. In total, 179 student-athletes were named Academic All-MAC, leading the conference and helping earn them the Cartwright Award.
“EMU Athletics strives to provide our student-athletes with the resources they need to succeed in all aspects of their lives, from the time they arrive through to graduation and beyond,” said EMU Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Support Services Karen Schiferl. “We are excited to utilize this highly regarded platform which will allow us to align the student-athlete experience in the classroom with their career ambitions so that we are preparing them for life after sport.”
Eastern Michigan will leverage Game Plan’s career marketplace to bring coveted national job and internship opportunities to its student-athletes. Game Plan’s library of innovative eLearning course and personality assessment also assists EMU administrators in preparing their athlete for a successful collegiate career and life after sport.
