In order to better serve our collegiate and professional athletic organization partners, Game Plan is initiating a survey to better understand the needs and challenges that individuals face preparing for their post-athletics career.
“We created this survey with a focus on the experience of collegiate athletes, how they arrive at their major, and their experience after graduation securing a job,” said CEO Vin McCaffrey. “Heading into our tenth year, we wanted to check the pulse of the student-athlete experience and see what works, what doesn’t, and what student-athletes are looking for as they work towards their life after sports.”
Past surveys have helped Game Plan in product development, including their Student-Athlete Identity Transition Assessment. Currently, we are collaborating with subject matter experts in developing new e-Learning modules dealing with mental and physical health education and professionalism as part of our new partnerships with both the NBA and MLB.
Results of this life after sport survey will be posted on the Game Plan website in January 2018. “This data will not only be valuable to us, but those who work with student-athletes in many facets of their journey,” added McCaffrey. “We all have the same objective in mind – preparing student-athletes for their life after sports.”
