Game Plan is excited to announce a new partnership with Northern Illinois Athletics! Northern Illinois is a member of the Mid-American conference and hosts seven men’s and women’s sports. NIU will be Game Plan’s second institution within the MAC.
The Department of Athletics at Northern Illinois University has a tradition of academic excellence as well as excellence on the playing field. NIU Athletics promotes achievement through self-discipline, responsibility and civic leadership. All programs enhance the experience of the student athlete in the academic athletic, campus communities and surrounding communities.
NIU Student Athlete Academic Support Services (SAASS) is excited to join the Game Plan team. Vin McCaffrey and his team have done a tremendous job creating and implementing a program that is meaningful for student development and well-being. We feel that the partnership will enhance our student-athlete’s experience as well as give them the tools outside the classroom and competition field to be better prepared with academic, career and personal enhancement goals as they step into life’s arena after graduation.

Through this partnership, the Huskies will use Game Plan’s innovative eLearning curriculum to bring life skills and personal development topics directly to their student-athletes. NIU will also implement Game Plan’s Mentorship and Career Marketplaces to support their athletes throughout their entire journey on campus and beyond their playing days.
