Purdue University Northwest Athletics is proud to announce its partnership with Game Plan, a comprehensive student-athlete development platform.  The PNW Pride are the first NCAA Division II institution in the country to partner with Game Plan.

Game Plan is a software platform that assists athletic organizations to deliver online education, mentorship, and career services. In essence, Game Plan supports the student-athletes through every step of their developmental journey.  Purdue Northwest will utilize Game Plan’s student-athlete eLearning curriculum to educate Pride student-athletes on a variety of topics including sports wagering, sexual violence prevention, mental health, as well as personal and academic development.

“I am thrilled to provide the PNW Pride student-athletes with the Game Plan platform, which will enhance our existing student-athlete development program.  Game Plan includes life-skills modules (transition to college, resume writing, sexual violence prevention, financial literacy, etc), a mentorship platform, and a career marketplace” said Rick Costello, Purdue Northwest Director of Athletics.  “With the expansion of sports wagering in Indiana, I am pleased to provide Game Plan’s eLearning tools which focus on educating the Pride student-athlete, coaches, and administrators on NCAA rules, the impact of sports wagering and integrity in sport.”

“We are beyond excited to partner with Purdue Northwest Athletics, our first NCAA Division II program”, said Game Plan CEO, Vin McCaffrey. “Their comprehensive approach to athlete development and well-being comes from the top down and we are proud to support Rick Costello and his team by allowing them to improve their student-athlete development efforts”.  “Sports wagering is a constantly changing and complicated issue,” Game Plan CEO, Vin McCaffrey, said. “By investing in educational resources for their staff and student-athletes, PNW is displaying its leadership and impressive desire to stay ahead of this complicated issue.

Game Plan’s learning resources provide flexibility by allowing student-athletes to complete the educational programs online and on their own time.  Resources for the programs will be made available via Game Plan’s online platform as well as the company’s app for IOS and Android.
