Game Plan is proud to announce our newest partnership with the University of New Haven Department of Athletics.
The Athletics Department at the University of New Haven strives to integrate intercollegiate athletics into higher education so that the educational experience of the student-athlete is paramount. Partnering with Game Plan will align with the department’s mission of providing growth opportunities to student-athletes to allow them to achieve academic and athletic success while representing themselves and the University with character and integrity.
“Our focus as an athletics department at New Haven is to prepare our student-athletes for success beyond the field of play”, says the University’s Director of Athletics, Dr. Sheahon Zenger. “We will use Game Plan in a variety of ways, including as a tool to educate and prevent sexual violence and to help promote mental health and well-being. We strive to provide the best for our student-athletes in every way, and this is a monumental step in that direction.”
The Chargers will use Game Plan’s innovative eLearning software to educate their athletes on topics such as sexual violence prevention, healthy relationships, mental health, career development and more. Through Game Plan, New Haven staff members will be able to structure the curriculum around an athlete’s schedule, academic year, and stage of their personal and athletic journey while allowing them to access this education on their own time and on any device.
“New Haven is a leader in DII college athletics and we are proud and grateful to partner with them as they seek to enhance their student-athlete experience”, says Vin McCaffrey. “The NE10 is a phenomenal conference and loaded with great competition. Game Plan’s mental health, healthy relationship courses and more will be a great addition for their student-athletes, staff and administration.”
Welcome to the Game Plan family Chargers!
