Game Plan and the Great Midwest Athletic Conference are pleased to announce a new partnership to enhance student-athlete development efforts around Mental Health Education.
Through this partnership, the Great Midwest will use Game Plan eLearning courses to provide online education to their student-athletes on relevant topics around Mental Health. This will allow each member institution the ability to implement Mental Health Education for their student-athletes in efforts to make them more aware and understand the importance of mental wellness in college athletics.
“The Great Midwest is excited to engage with Game Plan and introduce their mental health eLearning modules to our member institutions and student-athletes,” said Tom Daeger, Great Midwest commissioner. “In this unprecedented environment and beyond, the partnership Game Plan offers will assist our student-athletes, as well as the coaches and administrators that service them, develop awareness and resources in the important area of mental wellness. Providing these tools was a priority for our membership and we are thankful for Game Plan’s delivery options.”
Game Plan, based in Greenville, N.C., is a software platform that helps athletics organizations deliver online education, mentorship and career services to support their athletes through every step of their developmental journey.
“The Great Midwest Athletic Conference is on the cutting edge of the student-athlete experience in providing their members support for their student-athletes mental health,” added Vin McCaffery, founder and CEO of Game Plan. “Mental wellness for college athletes is a top priority and I applaud the Great Midwest for its investment to enhance student-athlete support.
