Game Plan is proud to announce the renewal of its partnership with Grand Canyon University Athletics and its incredible staff. GCU continues to lead the way in innovative programming focused on supporting student-athletes on and off the field through their L.O.P.E.S for Life Program

This L(eadership).O(wnership).P(urpose).E(xcellence).S(ervice). For Life Program is meant to “provide opportunities for student-athletes to develop skills personally and professionally that will prepare them for life after college” and ensure the student-athletes have the necessary resources to succeed in each step of their college athletic experience.

“Our continued partnership with Game Plan allows us to expand on our L.O.P.E.S. For Life programming and build on our core principles digitally that will be easily accessible to all student-athletes. We look forward to growing our digital programming through the use of Game Plan.”

-Kaeman Mitchell, L.O.P.E.S. For Life Coordinator

Game Plan supports GCU’s programming by working with the staff to create GCU-specific eLearnings on topics such as Diversity & Inclusion, Financial Education, “From Stadiums to Boardrooms,” and more. These eLearnings will be used throughout the 2020-2021 school year to support their existing planned initiatives.

GCU is also utilizing Game Plan in its Summer Bridge programming with a curriculum including both GCU-specific and existing Game Plan eLearnings. The custom eLearnings cover content specific to Freshmen such as an introduction to campus and technological resources, keys to success in college, and academic integrity.

“Game Plan’s custom courses have allowed us to enhance our Specialized Learning Services and L.O.P.E.S. For Life programs to fit the unique needs of our student-athletes efficiently and effectively. These custom courses have helped us develop onboarding programs that we can use for our student-athletes in all phases of their GCU experience.”

-Jason Frank, Assistant Athletic Director, Student-Athlete Development.

Game Plan is also excited to work to expand GCU’s Alumni and Mentor Program. This mentor program provides another level of support for the student-athletes and ensures a student-athlete alumni and community network is accessible for the student-athletes as they look to transition to life after sport.

“We are so grateful for our close relationship with Grand Canyon University Athletics and are extremely impressed by the impactful programming they provide for their student-athletes. The staff’s feedback has helped to shape the Game Plan platform’s recent updates and we look forward to continuing to work side-by-side with them in supporting their student-athletes.”

-Vin McCaffrey, CEO of Game Plan
