OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College Department of Athletics is proud to announce its partnership with Game Plan, the most widely used education and student athlete development platform for high school, collegiate and professional athletics departments, as a foundational support of the “One Team Wesleyan” initiative.

Game Plan is supported in part through the Great Midwest Athletic Conference and has been adopted at several schools across the conference, impacting thousands of student athletes. Kentucky Wesleyan has added to the partnership to utilize additional resources that Game Plan has to offer.

“The Great Midwest Athletic Conference and Kentucky Wesleyan College are both on the cutting edge of the student-athlete experience in providing their student athletes support for their mental health,” added Vin McCaffery, founder and CEO of Game Plan. “Mental wellness for college athletes is a top priority and I applaud the G-MAC for its investment to enhance student-athlete support. We’re thrilled to begin working with the Panthers!”

Through this partnership, every student athlete at Wesleyan will have access to over 60 innovative eLearning and personality assessments designed specifically for the modern athlete. The eLearning courses will provide education and information on relevant topics around academic success, career and professional development, brand-building, diet and wellness, financial literacy, healthy relationships, social justice and more. The interactive modules will help student athletes, coaches and administrators develop awareness and resources in the ever changing environment of college athletics.

“This partnership with Game Plan continues to raise the bar for Kentucky Wesleyan athletics as we seek to build upon the tremendous student-athlete experience that we already offer,” said Director of Athletics Rob Mallory. “Game Plan provides an innovative product that gives our student-athletes access to enhanced learning in relevant and timely subject-matter on a platform that is tailor-made for the current environment.”

With recent updates to the curriculum, Game Plan also offers courses in partnership with the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE) around Social Justice and Race Relations as well as Sexual Violence Prevention with the OneLove Foundation. Game Plan is currently developing curriculum focusing on Voter Education, and Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) that is set to launch this fall.
