The Voice Project and RISE, In Partnership with the LA Dodgers and the LA Police Protective League, jointly hosted a Critical Conversation devoted to the topic of Empathy for a diverse audience including veterans, first responders, athletes, leaders from the community and youth. The event took place at the Youth Athletic League in Compton, Calif., and was streamed live on Zoom. Our CEO and Founder Vin McCaffrey was lucky enough to be able to sit in, provide value and help add his insight of college athletics into the conversation.
America as a country provides great promise, but only when its citizens commit to the work, sacrifice and accountability that ensures everyone has equal opportunity to achieve the American dream. Through discussions on building the skills of perspective taking and empathic listening, this Critical Conversation can begin to strengthen, improve and unify the greater Los Angeles community and communities across the country.
