With over 30+ years of human resources and talent strategy experience, Tom brings significant workforce solution experience, driving large-scale global and national talent acquisition solutions and managed services partnerships.
Work Background
Tom joins Game Plan from his most recent post as the Chief People Officer of a global marine engineering, professional services, commercial, and innovative industrial talent acquisition firm. As the Chief People Executive of Human Resources, executive suite member, merger & acquisition HR strategist, and HR technologist of a 4,000 employee innovative talent firm, Tom architected and led all HR strategies. These included client workforce solutions, implementations, and revenue generation across all client, legal, regulatory, and administrative environments. Tom strategically developed all HR functions, resources, and optimized HRIS investments in a private equity environment.
As an active member of SHRM, HROA, ATAP, recruitDC, and the HCI, Tom’s rich HR background includes organic ETTA, RPO, MSP, VMS, HRIS, ATS, BPO, and SaaS strategic client solutions to drive client business outcomes on both regional and national levels. Tom has cultivated strategic client solutions for market leaders such as Adecco, Pontoon, ManpowerGroup Solutions, Aon, Advantage Resourcing, Staffmark, Recruit Global, and Berkshire Associates as a proven leader in employer services, sponsorship, and talent strategies.
In a family full of student-athletes, Tom has been married to Holly Gizzi for 26 years and has two daughters, Hannah (24) and Leah (22).

Tom’s foundation includes an M.B.A in Management and Ethical Business Strategy (Loyola University MD,) an M.S. in Educational Leadership and Chemistry (St. Joseph’s University, PA), and a B.S in Neurobiology (University of Pennsylvania). At Penn, Tom was a D1AA All-American and All-IVY football player while winning 3 IVY League Championships as a team captain. Tom has coached student-athletes for 34 years, including coaching in the NCAA as a D1 associate head coach and DIII Head Women’s Basketball Coach.
