In his book “Conscious Business,” Fred Kofman discusses the philosophy of the player versus the victim. “The basic difference between an ordinary man and a warrior is that a warrior takes everything as a challenge, while an ordinary man takes everything as a blessing or a curse.” Kofman describes the “player” taking an active role, philosophically believing their efforts and attitude drive results and outcomes. The victim, just the opposite, looks for the external reason why things are or are not successful.
